Nursing Scholarship Opportunities

General Scholarships within All Medical Fields

ADEA/Johnson and Johnson Preventive Dentistry Scholarship- This scholarship is open to pre medical students that have demonstrated brilliance in preventive dentistry, the scholarship amount is $2,500.
Mayo Clinic Merit Scholarship-The Mayo Medical School offers scholarships to new students. The recipients of the scholarship are chosen by the admissions committee.
Nursing School Scholars-The Nursing Scholars program offers scholarships to students enrolled in accredited nursing schools. The scholarship is not for a set amount; the amount awarded will be decided upon communication with the school.
Straightforward Media Nursing School Scholarship- Straightforward Media offers a scholarship to nursing students currently enrolled in school. The amount of the scholarship is $500 and is offered each semester.
The Ford Scholars Program- grants scholarships to 100 Oregon based medical students each year. The scholarship isn't for a set amount of money, but promises to cover 90% of college tuition and costs.

Minority Scholarship Opportunities

Med Surge Nurse Scholarship- The Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses offers a scholarship to its student members that are enrolled in a nursing course. The amount awarded is $500.
MNM Scholarship Program- Minority Nurse Magazine offers scholarships to nursing students who are working towards a Bachelors degree in nursing. The amount awarded ranges from $1,000 to $5,000.
NAANA Nursing Scholarship- The National American Arab Nurse Association provides scholarships to current Arab nursing students and prospective Arab nursing students. The amount awarded is $10,000.
NAHN Scholarship Program- The National Association of Hispanic Nurses offers scholarships to its members in the amount of $1,000.
NBNA Scholarship Program- The National Black Nurses Association grants scholarships to black nursing students enrolled in any type of nursing program. The amount awarded is from $500 to $2,000.

Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students

CCP Scholarships- The Community College of Philadelphia offers various scholarships for disadvantaged students. The amount awarded should cover tuition, fees, and books.
IVCC Scholarship- Ivy Tech Community College offers scholarships to economically and environmentally disadvantaged students in varied amounts. The amount awarded should cover tuition, fees, books, and certain living expenses.
NVCC Nursing Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students-The Northern Virginia Community College offers scholarships to environmentally disadvantaged students who are pursuing an Associates degree in nursing. The amount awarded varies.
UTSN Scholarship-The University of Texas School of Nursing awards scholarships to cover complete tuition costs to economically and environmentally disadvantaged students.
